Why Cyber Security?
With more need for technology comes the need for security
Security is an unavoidable measure needed by all organizations and individuals with infrastructure whether physical or online. Cybersecurity can help to prevent data breaches, identity theft, and other types of cybercrime. Organizations must have strong cybersecurity measures to protect their data and customers. As more use cases for the web emerges (whether Web 2.0 or Web 3.0), the need for cyber security and professionals with the required knowledge will be on the increase. In recent times the eyes of more and more organizations are opening to the need for cyber security and so is the need for cyber security experts.
Paying or not?
A career in Cyber Security is a secure pathway
Professionals in the cybersecurity realm are typically well paid. Entry level cybersecurity jobs are at the bottom of the scale, but they still pay higher than entry level jobs in many other industries. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average pay for cybersecurity professionals is $99,730 per year, which is quite high. Those in the top 10 percent of the field earn an average of $158,860 a year. Even those in the lowest 10 percent are paid fairly well at $57,810.
