After conducting a thorough analysis of our efforts over the past four years, as well as evaluating the tech ecosystem and prospects for African youths, we have resolved to pursue a more direct route to create a lasting impact and realize our ambitious objectives at Skillup Africa by 2030.
Here are two crucial projects we're launching in the upcoming months, and we're seeking your assistance with them.
Project one
A 2 year empowerment program for young exceptional people from the slums
After running our DSEP program for 4 years with people of different ages from 14 to 43, we have decided to pivot into a 2-year long support program for young persons aged 14 – 20 who are exceptionally talented, live in slums with little or no hopes of getting a University education or using their exceptional abilities.
Project two
A tech rehabilitation program for young persons in Nigerian prisons
In partnership with Nigerian Correctional Services Commission, we plan to launch training programs for young persons in Nigerian prisons in different aspects of Tech, not just for them to have an idea of the skills but for them to be able to learn and earn from the knowledge as a key path to their rehabilitation.
